About this placement
Join our carving studio for two weeks and learn the basics of architectural stone carving under the guidance of our resident carver. You will work on small practice pieces before contributing to simple decorative repairs. Students leave with a completed carving piece to take home.
About Westmoor Stoneworks Trust
Our working stoneyard trains masons on site. Students work alongside our master mason and a team of journeymen on live conservation projects.
Requirements
- • No prior carving experience required
- • Fine motor skills and patience are helpful
- • Must be comfortable standing for extended periods
Expenses & provisions
Travel expenses up to £60/day. All tools and materials provided.
