CITB Specialist Upskilling Fund 2026

Support for heritage employers.

CITB has named CraftGate Heritage as the delivery partner for the Heritage, including stonemasonry and oak framing, Specialist Upskilling Fund 2026.

The fund is part of CITB's Specialist Upskilling Programme, which supports specialist construction sectors where training provision is limited, the workforce is small or other barriers restrict access to upskilling. The project runs from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027 and covers England, Scotland and Wales.

What the project offers employers

  1. Training Needs Analysis

CraftGate carries out a Training Needs Analysis with your business.

  2. Specialist NVQs

CraftGate supports you to access specialist NVQs for your workforce.

  3. Booking trainees

CraftGate helps you book trainees onto them.

Where CraftGate fits

CraftGate is a network and placement platform, not a training provider. The NVQ recognises skills a worker already has, so the qualification fits the work already being done.
